Much like true love, the effort to provide funding for arts education is a marathon, not a sprint. But you can help the CAPtivators shorten the distance by going the distance. Run, walk, or race your heART out during this 5k event! The race starts and finishes near the Shoppes of Avondale with the course winding through scenic, historic neighborhoods.
Mellow Mushroom Avondale will be hosting the post-race celebration beginning at 9:00AM. Awards will be presented to top finishers. All registered runners over the age of 21 will receive a free mimosa or draught beer. Mellow Mushroom will also be serving up delicious food from their brunch menu for purchase. All runners are invited to attend along with their family and friends.
All proceeds from the race go towards helping Cathedral Arts Project provide quality visual and performing arts education to over 2,500 underserved children in Jacksonville. For more information on Cathedral Arts Project visit www.capkids.org.

BIRDIES FOR CHARITY
Registration for the Run Your HeART Out 5k will be processed as a donation to the Cathedral Arts Project. Don't worry! 100% of your race proceeds go toward helping provide arts education to over 2,500 underserved children in Jacksonville! Birdies for Charity is a unique, community-based fundraising initiative held in conjunction with THE PLAYERS Championship at TPC Sawgrass May 5-11, 2014. With your race entry, you have the option to guess the total number of birdies that will be made during the completion rounds of the tournament. The individual making the correct or closest guess will win $5,000! If you choose correctly, Cathedral Arts Project will also receive an additional $5,000 from THE PLAYERS Championship.
